Your Thoughts Create Your Future

Part 1 — Reframing

What we think about things dramatically affects how we experience them.

Think of cleaning for Passover, for example. It can be dreary drudgery; an onerous task we need and hate to do. Or, it can be a beautiful opportunity to clear out, minimize, and freshen and brighten our spaces so they and we attract more positivity and abundance. Same activity, utterly different perspective.

I’ve been reframing my thoughts a lot lately, so they fall more into the positive and less the negative. I started this after recognizing some pretty negative thought ruts I was in. I realized that much of the stress and anxiety I experience is directly related to how I approach life, rather than life itself.

A “reframe”, for those not familiar with the term, is simply a new way of looking at things so we feel joy, not stress. Such as the Passover cleaning example at the beginning.

One reframe I’m working on is thinking of certain things in my life as “fun challenges” (rather than “hard tasks I hate”). For me, this reframe is great because the idea of a “fun challenge” fills me with joy. In Human Design I have a defined heart, and this contributes to my love of challenges.

I invite you to consider an area of your life that’s not flowing how you’d like it to, and consider a way of reframing your thoughts about it so it does. If you feel stuck about how to work the reframe, feel free to be in touch with me. It would be an honour to brainstorm with you.

Have a beautiful day. I don’t know about yours, but mine’s already filled with fun challenges.
